WASHINGTON, Jan. 26 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Sharon P. Robinson, a former senior executive of the Educational Testing Service and former assistant secretary at the U.S. Department of Education, has been selected by the board of directors of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) as the association's president and chief executive officer.

Robinson will begin her appointment April 1. She will be the first African American woman to serve as the association's chief executive officer.
