This report describes the formulas used to allocate state and local JAG awards. The Bureau of Justice Assistance administers the JAG program, and BJS calculates the JAG formulas. The JAG program was created when Congress merged the Edward Byrne Memorial Grant (Byrne) program with the Local Law Enforcement Block Grant (LLEBG) program.
