WASHINGTON, Dec. 21 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The Pure Salmon Campaign, an international coalition of groups seeking to improve the way salmon is produced, announced today that it will file a truth-in- advertising complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regarding a recent advertising campaign touting farmed salmon as "just what the doctor ordered" for pregnant women.
Salmon of the Americas, a salmon aquaculture industry trade group, placed a six page advertising supplement in the Nov. 27 edition of The New York Times Sunday Magazine.
