Summary

GREEN, Ohio, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Does another broken record sound like a broken record? It just may seem that way since Akron- Canton Airport (CAK) broke our sixth monthly record for 2010. We don't take it for granted though. Every customer counts at CAK. In September more than 125,000 passengers traveled to and from Akron- Canton, making it the airport's busiest September of all time. That figure was up nine percent compared to 2009 and beat the airport's previous best September (2008) by 3,487 passengers. For the first nine months of the year, more than 1,175,800 passengers traveled to and from CAK, an eight percent increase compared to 2009.

"We are truly humbled by the number of local travelers choosing to begin their trip at CAK," said Rick McQueen, president and CEO. "I have to give all the credit to our team members and partners. From our shuttle drivers, to exceptional airlines, to great dining options and efficient and through safety screening, we work hard to make every customer feel relaxed and at home."
