FAIRFAX, Va. Jan. 5 /U.S. Newswire/ -- In an effort to bolster its healthcare policy and research efforts, the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology has hired three individuals to fill various roles within those departments for the organization.
Debra Lansey was brought on as the Assistant Director of Healthcare Policy. Ms. Lansey will provide comments to regulatory bodies, disseminate information to ASTRO members and provide managed care expertise to the ASTRO Healthcare Policy Council. She comes to ASTRO with extensive experience in HMO claims supervision, pharmaceutical reimbursement consulting and managed care analysis. Most recently, she spent 12 years in a similar position at a another health society. Her career has included work on HIPAA standards, the Medicare fee schedule, HMO coverage and payment policies. Ms. Lansey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology/Health Services and a Masters of Public Administration, both from the University of Delaware.See the full content of this document
