Summary
The conference brings together hundreds of Vietnam veteran advocates who will take part in more than two dozen seminars, meetings, and other activities. Guest speakers include Ed Vick, who served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam and is the former CEO of Young and Rubicam, who will deliver the Keynote Speech at the Opening Ceremonies on Wednesday, Aug. 4.
Conference attendees will take part in several special events, including an awards banquet in which VVA will recognize its members accomplishments. There also will be addresses by prominent Vietnam veterans and their advocates. Tharp, who created the hit Vietnam War- centered Broadway musical, Movin Out, will receive the Presidents Award for her work, as will Patrick and Cheryl Fries, the husband and wife team that created the acclaimed documentary, In The Shadow of the Blade.See the full content of this document
