WASHINGTON, Aug. 2 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Based on the projected path of Tropical Storm Alex, the U.S. Census Bureau today calculated that more than 1.5 million people could feel the strengthening storm's effects as it remains offshore about 120 miles southeast of Charleston, S.C.
A tropical storm warning is in effect from South Santee River, S.C., to Oregon Inlet, N.C. (about 44 miles north of Cape Hatteras). Cape Hatteras is situated on the easternmost point of the North Carolina coast.See the full content of this document
