ATLANTA, Nov. 12 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The Convex Group, a media and entertainment holding company that includes Flexplay, Lidrock and HowStuffWorks, will release its first feature film on Friday, Nov. 12. NOEL, a star-studded holiday drama, will open in limited release in select cities, followed by a platform expansion to additional cities and theaters in the coming weeks. The film will simultaneously be available on Flexplay -- a limited play DVD which allows users to watch the film multiple times during a 48 hour window -- exclusively on Amazon.com. Orders can be made immediately and will begin shipping on Nov. 17.

The first original motion picture to be released in theaters and on Flexplay, NOEL marks the feature film directorial debut of Chazz Palminteri (A Bronx Tale, Bullets Over Broadway). Sure to be a holiday classic, NOEL stars Oscar winner Susan Sarandon (Dead Man Walking, Alfie), Penelope Cruz (Vanilla Sky, the upcoming Don't Move), Paul Walker (Fast and the Furious, Pleasantville) and newcomer Daniel Sunjata (Take me Out, Melinda and Melinda). New York's cityscapes are brilliantly shot by Academy Award winning cinematographer Russell Carpenter (Titanic) with moving music by eight-time Academy Award winning Alan Menken (The little Mermaid, Aladdin).
