WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The level of voter registration activity this year is unprecedented, and many of these efforts focus on communities of color. However, many new voters are missing information on their voter registration applications. There are tens of thousands of incomplete applications languishing in elections offices. Election officials are required to send letters to notify voters of missing information but it's on the voter to follow-up to provide the information. Many people don't open these letters or don't follow-up. Voters need to know that there are simple steps they can take to make sure they are on the rolls and can vote on Nov. 2.

For example, in Miami-Dade County there are approximately 5,000 incomplete voter registration applications pending. In Broward County, Florida there are approximately 8,000 incomplete voter registration applications pending. Since January 2004 Las Vegas received a staggering 30,000 incomplete voter registration applications.
