ASHBURN, Va., April 25 /U.S. Newswire/ -- In an effort to restore a child-centered focus in youth sports, the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) with the Positive Coaching Alliance, Citizenship Through Sports Alliance (CTSA) and U.S. Congressman Mike McIntyre will hold a press conference on Thursday, April 27, in the U.S. Capitol to kick-off the Congressional Youth Sports Caucus. This event will be held at 1:30 p.m. in Room HC-7 of the Capitol.

With the spring youth sports season in full swing, it is critical that youth and sport-related organizations unite to support the positive character development of our nation's youth. The Congressional Youth Sports Caucus will work in a bi-partisan fashion to promote the values of sportsmanship, civility, respect, health, safety, fun and physical activity among players and leaders, including coaches, parents and officials.
