NEW YORK, June 9 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Chen Yonglin and Hao Fengjun jumped into the spotlight in Australia this week by publicly announcing their defections from China. Of perhaps greater significance than their defections were their public withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Both had comfortable jobs. Chen was the First Secretary of the Chinese Consulate in Sydney, in which post he was responsible for monitoring and harassing the Falun Gong practitioners of Australia. Hao was an officer with the 610 Office-the office charged with eradicating Falun Gong. Both could not stomach what the CCP asked them to do, and both have now risked everything to do what is right.
