DOVER, Dela., June 1 /U.S. Newswire/ -- A new statewide, independent poll shows overwhelming support for a constitutional amendment that would return to Americans their right to protect the flag of the United States from acts of physical desecration. The amendment, Senate Joint Resolution 12, in its entirety, reads: "The Congress shall have power to prohibit the physical desecration of the flag of the United States."

The survey queried 501 adults 18 years of age and older living in private households in the state of Delaware and was conducted by Opinion Research Corporation of Princeton, NJ.
