WASHINGTON, Feb. 2 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Given the chance to demonstrate their commitment to end getting serious about reform, House Republicans today chose instead to replace indicted former Majority Leader Tom DeLay with another member who also has close ties to lobbyists, Congressman John Boehner. This decision further cements the pay-to-play atmosphere in the Republican- controlled Congress. This week, Boehner even called a Republican reform plan, "childish." (Los Angeles Times, 2/1/06)
