ASHEVILLE, N.C., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Daniel Gorman, a 2007 Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College Culinary Technology graduate, was named National Student Chef of the Year at the American Culinary Federation's (ACF) national convention Aug. 5 in Anaheim, CA.
Competitors had two hours and 10 minutes to prepare, cook and serve a two-course meal or dessert using a basket of selected ingredients, including chicken, shrimp, trout, clams, potatoes and leeks.
