WASHINGTON, July 29 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The Crimes of War Project has recently inaugurated a new series, "Prisoner Abuse: Interrogation, Torture, and the Law", on the Crimes of War web site http://www.crimesofwar.org examining the United States' actions in both Afghanistan and Iraq through the lens of international humanitarian law. With cross-references to the project's book, Crimes of War: What the Public Should Know, the series will include:

-- a report card on U.S. policy as graded by leading international humanitarian law scholars from around the world. The evaluation will look at how U.S. actions in response to the war on terror have (or have not) complied with international standards
