LOS ANGELES, Nov. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Los Angeles FBI Citizens' Academy Alumni Association, a local chapter of the non- profit 501c3 FBI National Citizens' Academy Alumni Association (FBICAAA), celebrates 10 years of educating the public on issues of federal law enforcement issues and challenges. To mark the celebration, former FBI Special Agent John F. Hanlon will speak at the anniversary event on November 10 of his experience during one of the FBI's most violent and deadliest shoot-outs in 1986.
The Citizens' Academy is a 10 week training course that exposes business, civic, religious and community leaders to all facets of the FBI and work to foster a greater understanding of the FBI's role in the community. Currently, the Los Angeles FBICAAA has approximately 200 active members that continue their education on these matters with the FBI in order to better serve the community.See the full content of this document
