WASHINGTON, Sept. 8 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Media Matters for America (MMFA) has found that in the wake of the announcement that former President Bill Clinton's was to undergo heart surgery, a number of conservative radio hosts mocked were out in full-force making light of Clinton's serious condition, suggested that he would go to hell, and speculated that Clinton's surgery was a ruse to avoid campaigning for John Kerry.

On September 3 -- the very day Clinton's condition was announced - - Michael Savage wasted no time in mocking Clinton during his Savage Nation broadcast: "I understand that Bill Clinton will be getting bypass surgery. He will be with us a while longer because we understand that Hell was full -- and he will be granted a full recovery. We do know that he is getting bypass surgery, but we cannot confirm it is of the heart. It may be of another organ. You wanna tell jokes today we can tell jokes today."
