LANDOVER, Md., March 23 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Laura Mackay, of Pass Christian, will travel to Washington, D.C., April 4 through 7, to tell lawmakers about her experiences with epilepsy.

"For the past 12 months, I have been seizure-free. I am able to participate in all of life's activities such as going to school, spending time with my friends, and acquiring a driver's license," said Mackay. "I want people to know that people with epilepsy, if given a chance, are able to lead full lives. We are no different than anyone else and shouldn't be treated otherwise."
