WASHINGTON, Nov. 3 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Law Enforcement Alliance of America (LEAA) Executive Director and Retired Police Officer James J. Fotis today countered divisive claims by the Director of Illinois State Police in favor of restrictions on law-abiding gun owners. Fotis called on the Illinois Legislature to override Governor Blagojevich's veto on SB 2104, SB 57 and HB 340.
LEAA challenged claims made at a pro-gun control press conference where the Director of the Illinois State Police claimed his personal, political views represented all of law enforcement. Said Fotis, "Director Trent may speak for his boss, the Governor, but his claim to speak for each and every man and woman in Illinois law enforcement is a preposterous stretch."See the full content of this document
