WASHINGTON, Nov. 23 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Citizens of San Antonio think their city is a great place to live and work, but they are worried about the city's employment situation and look to government to play a role, especially in improving public education.

A well-educated workforce is considered a critical element in creating jobs. Two in five describe high-quality public schools as an absolute priority for creating a good environment for employment and creating jobs, with an additional 47 percent describing it as a high priority. Improving education also is perceived as the most effective way for local and state government to attract businesses.

According to respondents, good wages, health benefits and opportunities for advancement equals a good job. Nine in ten say that providing good wages or salary is critical/very important, followed closely by health insurance (87%) and opportunities for advancement (81 percent).
