ALBANY, N.Y., June 23 /U.S. Newswire/ -- New Yorkers who struggle with high drug prices received good news from the Legislature. They may soon have a new tool on their side to help them find the best price on their on their drugs at a nearby pharmacy.

Legislation, introduced by Senator Martin J. Golden and Assemblyman Richard N. Gottfried, passed both houses moving New York State one step closer to having the nation's most comprehensive pharmacy drug posting law, requiring pharmacies to post on a weekly basis their 150 most prescribed drugs on a state website. The passage of this legislation was a top AARP priority.
