MINNEAPOLIS, June 22, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Minnesota for Marriage Coalition, a broad-based group of community and faith leaders and organizations supporting next year's vote to preserve the definition of marriage as only one man and one woman in Minnesota's constitution, says a new national survey accurately forecasts the upcoming election.

The survey, conducted by the respected national polling firm, Public Opinion Strategies, for the Alliance Defense Fund, found that by a margin of 62 to 36 percent, Americans agreed with the statement that, "I believe marriage should be defined ONLY as the union between one man and one woman." Further, 53% of Americans strongly agreed with this statement.
