WASHINGTON, July 26 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Facing serious budgetary shortfalls, Senator Stabenow (MI) is offering an amendment to help stabilize funding for the nation's largest integrated health care delivery system operated by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

"The current health care model and methodology used by VA to request its annual discretionary appropriations is clearly flawed," said National Commander Thomas P. Cadmus. "Unfortunately, VA is forced to ration care to make ends meet. That means the nation is not meeting its obligation to care for America's servicemembers.
