WASHINGTON, Jan. 20 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The following is a statement by Keith Ashdown, vice president of Taxpayers for Common Sense, on the Senate temporarily blocking the 2004 Omnibus spending bill:
"The Senate voted today to delay the Omnibus Spending bill. And with good reason. At a time of record deficits, a bill this larded with frivolous projects would make a drunken sailor blush.
