RALEIGH, N.C., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- William (B.J.) Lawson, MD, Republican challenger to Rep. David Price in North Carolina's Fourth District, today announced his pledge that he will not serve more than four two-year terms if elected to U.S. Congress. As part of this effort, Dr. Lawson is pledging $1 million of his personal net worth to the Sentinels of Freedom charitable organization to guarantee his promise to the voters. Incumbent Rep. Price, 70, has already held this office for 22 years and is seeking his 12th term. Ilario Pantano, the Republican candidate challenging seven-term Rep. Mike McIntyre (D-NC-07), joined Lawson at his announcement today as a fellow bonded candidate. The candidates' appearance together represents an historic first in U.S. politics.
