Marching in battle dress uniforms, including combat boots, and carrying 35-pound packs and flags of the United States, the U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force, the six will "honor all of those who have paid the ultimate price while serving their country and those who are still serving," according to Cadet Josh Mulford, a native of Gainesville, Va.

"We all have friends over there," Mulford said, explaining their decision to undertake the grueling series of marches. "We need to do our part and step up and support our troops and recognize those who have given their lives in the name of freedom and democracy."
