WASHINGTON, April 30 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The National Association of Realtors(r)' new Washington, D.C., building won the best architecture and best financing awards from the Washington Business Journal's Best Real Estate Deals of 2003 last night. NAR's building also was runner up for best urban office project and best sustainable growth project.

Construction of the striking, glass-wrapped, environmentally advanced building has been completed and NAR took possession earlier this month. The building creates a dramatic presence at 500 New Jersey Avenue, with a breathtaking view of the U.S. Capitol, only two blocks away. The structure will be the first newly constructed building in the District of Columbia to meet "green" standards-high levels of environmental performance as set by the U.S. Green Building Council.
