General Wesley Clark and Kentucky Iraq War Vet Discuss Bush Speech in Louisville

WASHINGTON, Jan. 11 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Army General Wesley Clark and Lt. Colonel Andrew Horne, a Marine who served two tours in Iraq, today held a conference call with reporters to discuss the President's speech in Louisville. General Clark and Lt. Col. Horne called on President Bush to explain his Administration's failure to provide the brave men and women serving in Iraq with the life- saving body armor their commanders in the field requested.

Lt. Col. Horne, a Marine Corps reservist who served in Kuwait during the first Persian Gulf War and in the western-most sector of Anbar Province during Operation Iraqi Freedom, is from Louisville. General Clark, a veteran of the Vietnam War, commanded Operation Allied Force in the Kosovo conflict during his tenure as Supreme Allied Commander of NATO from 1997 to 2000.
